2015 Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Signs with the Giants

NFL

Even though he played in all 17 games with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2023 season, 2015 Pro Bowl wide receiver Allen Robinson II has not been the same receiver as back in his hay-day with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Chicago Bears. Last offseason, Pittsburgh acquired Robinson II from the Los Angeles Rams. Now a year later, the Steelers have released Allen, giving him an opportunity to sign with a contender. However, today it was reported Robinson II signed a deal with the the New York Giants.

During his three-year college career at Penn State, Robinson II started in 24 out of the 35 games he played. The future 2015 Pro Bowl wide receiver had 177 receptions for 2,459 receiving yards, and 17 touchdowns. He was a two-time Richter-Howard Receiver of the Year Award winner and was named to the First-Team All-Big Ten in 2012, and 2013. Also, Allen was named a First-Team All-American in 2013. Going into the 2014 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Allen Robinson II as the 61st overall pick in the second round.

Last season, Robinson played in all 17 games for the Steelers. He had 34 receptions for 280 yards. During the Steelers first game of the season against the San Francisco 49ers, Allen had his best game of the season. The 2015 Pro Bowl wide receiver had five receptions for 64 yards in Pittsburgh’s 30-7 loss. Hopefully, with the Giants, Robinson II can put his career back on track and help this team become a playoff threat.
