2024 NHL All-Star Game Rosters
For the first time since 2015, the NHL’s All-Stars were thrown in a player draft pool and were selected by the four All-Star captains, who were voted upon by the fans, and their celebrity captains. The four teams are captained by the Toronto Maple Leafs Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers, Nathan McKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche, and of the Vancouver Canucks Quinn Hughes (New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes was originally voted, but due to an injury he will not be playing). The NHL has turned away from the traditional division-based rosters, transitioning to the current model. This year’s All-Star Games will remain the three-on-three format with 10-minute halves. Team MacKinnon will take on Team McDavid in Game 1 with Team Hughes taking on Team Matthews following suit for Game 2. The two winning teams will then compete against each other in a third and final game to determine the winner. With festivities beginning this weekend, let's take a look at the rosters.
