29-Year-Old Defensive Tackle Re-Signs with the Bengals
B.J. Hill had an amazing season last season playing for the Cincinnati Bengals. He has now entered into free agency and will be making moves from where he is now. The 29-year-old just signed a three-year deal for 33 million back with the Bengals. The Bengals are very much looking forward to having him back on the team.
Hill has only played for two teams during his time in the NFL. The first team that he played for was the Giants for up to three seasons. The Giants selected him in the third round in the 2018 draft. He did great when it came to playing in New York and pretty much everywhere he has already been. He recorded 5.5 sacks and combined for 116 stops. He was with New York until the Giants traded with the Bengals in August of 2021 for Billy Price.
The defensive tackle played for 16 regular season games and four postseason games in 2021. He made 50 combined stops, 21 assist tackles, and had 5.5 sacks during this season. A great year for him following this trade. He even went to the Super Bowl with Cincinnati before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.
Following that great season, he signed a $30 million contract extension with the Bengals. During that time he started in all 16 of the regular-season games and three of the postseason games that the Bengals had played in. He recorded 68 tackles, three sacks, four pass deflections, one forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries.
He is considered to be one of the greats. Now that the Bengals have picked him up, there should be no problems with them moving ahead for this season. Hill should have another great season with the Bengals. They will be able to put him to work and use all of his skills. He has always been great in the tackle area and this will be good for Cincinnati. Something that they have needed for a while.
