A New Championship Belt is Coming to the WWE

WWE

The WWE has officially announced a brand-new show with a new championship belt to come with it. The show is WWE Speed, which features a match style never seen before. Superstars will go head-to-head in three-minute matches for the WWE Speed Championship. With names like Omos, Odyssey Jones, Ricochet, Cameron Grimes and many more already seen in the shootings, the WWE looks to open up a whole new avenue for the sport.

WWE Speed will be featured exclusively on X/Twitter. It will be introduced before WrestleMania 40, premiering next Wednesday on April 3. Matches for the new show have already been in motion, being filmed back since December. Interestingly, Pete Dunne has been named the producer for these early shoots. While “The Bruiserweight” is still an active fighter, he has branded out his role behind the scenes for the upcoming show.

The tapings occur before WWE Smackdown episodes on Fridays, collecting matches for the start of the newest battle in the WWE. The champion will be crowned through a “tournament like no other where every match is a finale, and every second could define a superstar’s legacy.” In the new format of high-paced wrestling where every second matters, the WWE aims to bring more superstars to a big stage in their newest creation. With the first bell sounding in under a week, there’s yet another big event bringing a new champion before WrestleMania 40.
