Are the Eagles the NFC Favorite to Get to the Super Bowl?

NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles have finished the season with a 14-3 record. They have signature wins over the Ravens and Packers this year. However, they do have a loss against an 8-9 Atlanta team, albeit early in the year in Week Two. The Eagles have had a franchise-best 10-game winning streak this year, and it shows they are able to string wins together.

Other contenders to get to the Super Bowl in the NFC are the Lions, Vikings, and Commanders. There certainly is a case for each to get there instead of the Eagles. The Lions have a bonafide offensive coordinator and head coaching candidate who seems to have endless trick plays. The Vikings are led by a rejuvenated Sam Darnold and a great addition in running back Aaron Jones. The Commanders are led by Rookie of the Year leader Jayden Daniels, who has been nothing short of excellent this year.

However, I think experience matters in the playoffs, and the Eagles have that. Jalen Hurts and company have made it to the big game. They know what it takes to get there. The Commanders, I believe, are a year or two away, as are the Vikings with Sam Darnold. I do think the Lions have the best shot to get there if the Eagles don't. The Lions are America's team, and head coach Dan Campbell has his team ready to go every game. The duo of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are so tough to deal with, and the options in the passing game, T.J. Hockenson, and Amon-Ra St. Brown, are their own beast for NFC teams to deal with.

Now, to the team, I think has the best chance to overtake the Lions. The Eagles are led by a 2,000-yard rusher named Saquon Barkley, who is destined to run for 100 yards in his sleep. Their receiving duo of DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown will give any defense something to think about in terms of their speed and agility. Quarterback Jalen Hurts can also use his legs to get his opponents scrambling if he needs to. This certainly will be an interesting playoff on the NFC side of things. The Eagles are definitely contenders to win it all this year. They have the running game, the quarterback, and the defense to get it done. The playoffs are on the horizon, and the Eagles are ready to go all the way.
