Best Player Prop Bets for the NFL on Christmas Day

NFL

The NFL has continually made an effort to take over all major holidays with NFL football over the past few years, with its latest expansion putting games on both Black Friday and Christmas Day. This year, Christmas Day will feature the Chiefs taking on the Steelers in a battle of two strong AFC playoff contenders and the dynamic Ravens set to take on C.J. Stroud and the Texans. All of these teams have high playoff hopes, so these games will be extremely competitive and intense. With two exciting games set to take place on Christmas Day, what are a few of the best player props that bettors can look at for these games.

Russell Wilson Over 222.5 Passing Yards

When looking ahead to this Chiefs and Steelers matchup, it is abundantly clear that the Steelers will need to let Russell Wilson throw the ball if they hope to win this game. The Steelers’ running game has not been efficient all year long, as they rank second-worst in yards per rushing attempt. Additionally, Kansas City ranks top-five in fewest yards allowed per rushing attempt. So, I would expect the rushing game for Pittsburgh to get shut down early, and the Steelers will rely on Russell Wilson and his arm to try and lift them to a win in this game.

C.J. Stroud Over 252.5 Passing Yards

C.J. Stroud’s passing yards prop has a similar value proposition as Russell Wilson's in the matchup against the Ravens. The Ravens have the best rush defense in the league, so Joe Mixon is unlikely to have a ton of success on the ground in this game. However, the Ravens also have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. I would expect C.J. Stroud to test this defense early and often in this game, especially with a receiver like Nico Collins at his disposal.

Dalton Schultz Over 35.5 Receiving Yards

For reasons that I listed above, it will make Dalton Schultz a primary target for C.J. Stroud in this Texans offense. After losing Tank Dell last week to injury, Schultz’s role in this passing game should dramatically increase. He has gone over this mark in two of his past three games, and this trend should continue without Tank Dell in this offense. If the Texans are trailing the Ravens throughout this game, then they will have to go to the air more, which will create more opportunities for Schultz.
