Breakout Candidate Noah Fant Resigns with Seattle

NFL

Sources say that Noah Fant is set to resign with Seattle. After a down season for Fant, the Seahawks felt that he could still produce at a high level. Noah ended the season with only 32 receptions and 414 yards, both career lows. Don't be so quick to write him off fans, he is still young. The Seattle Seahawks needed him to succeed to make the playoffs and unfortunately, he fell under those expectations. Seattle finished the season 9-8.

Seattle hopes that Noah Fant can have a bounce-back season with hopes of getting back to the playoffs. He was a first-round draft pick who feels that he has more to prove. Another upside that he has is that he is only 26. Noah is still young and can still develop. Fant this past season did show glimpses of hope that he can be a breakout candidate for next season. The 26-year-old tight end can provide a downfield presence within the passing game. The Seahawks believe they have the right system for Fant to reach his highest ceiling. With weapons surrounding Fant, this will leave room for the tight end to get open. With Geno Smith at quarterback, they will have a great connection with his newly resigned tight end.

Noah was still trying to get his footing with the system after a few seasons in Seattle, After Pete Carrol left the tight end believed that Seattle was still the best place for his skill set. Fans of Noah Fant should be ecstatic with this signing. This team gained a player who has an undeniable work ethic and will stretch for every yard possible. Also, he brings in a bright personality that won't cause trouble within the locker rooms. There's no doubt that this signing is a big hit for Seattle.
