Browns Struggles Continue in Week 17 Defeat
The Cleveland Browns lost to the Miami Dolphins 20-3 on Sunday afternoon. A woeful season, to say the least, as the Browns are dead last in points per game, averaging 15.5. Dorian Thompson-Robinson took one sack on 48 dropbacks. He did have a few near-coverage sacks as he was holding onto the football at times.
Grant Delpit had an outstanding performance today, racking up seven tackles and a quarterback hit. Delpit is excellent at playing centerfield, rallying, and cleaning up missed tackles as the last line of defense. Jerry Jeudy has been an emerging star for Cleveland; he had 12 catches for 94 yards. He’s outstanding at releasing off the line of scrimmage and finding the open seams in the middle of the field.
Myles Garrett had another terrific game, recording two sacks. He goes beyond the stat sheet, drawing double teams and holding penalties to make it a nightmare on the offensive line. Jordan Akins had six catches for 49 yards. He has stood in making contested catches. The Browns are heading to an offseason full of question marks as they did restructure Deshaun Watson’s fully guaranteed contract.
