CM Punk Reveals Paul Heyman’s Favor to Roman Reigns on WWE Smackdown

WWE

Fans have wondered for months what Paul Heyman’s favor to CM Punk was, and now Punk has revealed the favor to Roman Reigns ahead of WrestleMania 41. Punk teamed with Reigns and the OG Bloodline at Survivor Series 2024, but it came with a cost. Heyman and Punk have called each other best friends ever since the Voice of the Voiceless returned to the WWE in 2023. It’s now been confirmed that Paul will be in CM Punk’s corner, not Roman Reigns, in the main event of WrestleMania 41, as the two will face off in a triple threat against Seth Rollins

In front of his hometown crowd on Smackdown, CM Punk announced that he wants Paul Heyman in his corner at WrestleMania 41, and not Reigns’. Reigns was surprised by this favor, as he knew that Heyman would deny the request and laugh it off. To the shock of Reigns and the entire WWE audience, however, Heyman explained to the Tribal Chief that he will not deny CM Punk’s favor. He announced that for the first time in over five years, the Wiseman will not be by Reigns’ side at WrestleMania.

There was speculation for weeks as to who Heyman will choose to align himself with at WrestleMania 41, and that choice has now been made. Although Heyman has been managing Roman Reigns for the past five years, he managed CM Punk years before that as the two had a partnership in the early 2010s. On Smackdown, Heyman showed that he values friendship over business, which is why he is deciding to side with Punk. This announcement was met with laughter by Seth Rollins, who watched as Reigns and Punk engaged in a brawl following this heated promo exchange.

This has certainly added extra heat to the WrestleMania 41 triple threat, as CM Punk and Roman Reigns now have a personal rivalry heading into the match. Seth Rollins already has blood-thirsty individual feuds with both men, which span back to his days in The Shield. This WrestleMania match has certainly gotten more interesting with Paul Heyman now set to be in Punks’ corner. It’s unknown who Heyman will be deciding to walk out of WrestleMania 41 with, but the wrestler who he’s walking in with is now confirmed.
