Cody Rhodes Finished “The Story”
Last night at the biggest WrestleMania of all-time, Cody Rhodes AKA ‘The American Nightmare’ ended the ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns 1,316-day reign as the WWE Universal Champion. First, congrats to Cody on finishing this incredible story that took almost two years of storytelling to complete. Secondly, whether you like him or not you have to give props to Roman Reigns as he is arguably the greatest champion of all time in WWE history. The story of the ‘Bloodline’ has drawn to a close, as a new era has arrived in professional wrestling. Monday Night Raw is anticipated to be the biggest Raw show of all time, as everyone will be tuned in to see what some of these new champions have to say, especially Cody Rhodes.
After Cody Rhodes and Seth ‘Freaking’ Rollins lost to The Rock and Roman Reigns during the main event of WrestleMania XL night one, it was Bloodline rules. This meant that any member of the Bloodline could interfere in the match. Both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns went at each other, but both in a valiant effort could not pin the other. However, the fair play wouldn’t last for long as Jimmy Uso was the first one to interrupt the match. His brother Jey, who defeated Jimmy during WrestleMania XL night one, came out to stop his twin brother. Then, their brother Solo Sikoa came to interfere in the match. Who else but 16-time champion John Cena to come out and stop Sikoa in his tracks. This meant that The Rock had to come out and stop Cena, but once he did The Undertaker quickly appeared and choked slammed Rock down to the mat. Once ‘The Shield’ entrance music played, and Seth Rollins came out in his Shield attire, Reigns became afflicted and decided to go after Rollins with a steel chair instead of the challenger Rhodes. This allowed Cody to get the win and put an end to this never-ending chapter in WWE history.
Although he is no longer here with us, Dusty Rhodes is looking down upon his son Cody proud and humbled. Cody set up to stop Reigns' title run, he failed the first time but came back the second time stronger, and more confident than ever in his abilities. Now the Rhodes title run begins, and it will surely be interesting what goes down in the WWE Universe. Six titles changed hands during this WrestleMania event. Do you agree with what Triple H said, with WrestleMania XL being the best one of all time?
