Danny Dimes Second Debut After ACL Tear

NFL

Daniel Jones is getting ready to get back in action for the rest of the preseason and the start of the regular season. Last season, Jones had gone out of the picture for the Giants after he suffered a torn ACL during the game in Week Nine against the Las Vegas Raiders. However, things have been looking up for the Giants quarterback for this coming season. Jones will be ready to return and play football this season as he tries to guide New York back into the postseason conversation.

During Giants training camp, Jones was given the green light to resume full-contact practices, a clear sign of his remarkable recovery. His return to the practice field, where he has been seen making passes and moves, is a testament to his determination and readiness. The Giants quarterback’s involvement in the Detroit Lions and New York Giants scuffle further confirms his physical readiness for the upcoming game. Jones has not missed any practices since he was cleared to play again.

With Drew Lock out with a hip injury, the Giants must put Jones in this weekend. This will be his first game since coming back from injury. The Giants are expected to have Jones back in and throw a few snaps during this weekend's game. That also means that the rest of his starting offensive line will be on the field.

Now with Lock injured, the Giants are left with only two quarterbacks. The team is closely monitoring Lock's condition and will make a decision on his status later this week. He will most likely miss practices and the first week or two of the regular season. At present, there are no plans to add another quarterback to the roster, indicating the team's confidence in Jones and the current quarterback lineup with Tommy DeVito, who is currently the team's backup quarterback.

This week, the Giants should have no issues with their players' practices. After last week's debacle, the Giants did not have any joint practices, which gives Jones more time to settle back into playing comfortably. Jones should be ready to play again when week one of the regular season rolls around. This time, he will be in much better shape to show his team what he can do as a Giant. He seems to have no issues at all, and he will be able to push forward to bring the Giants more wins this coming season.
