Drew McIntyre Suspended Indefinitely After His Actions at Money in the Bank

WWE

Money in the Bank was surely a night to remember as there were many jaw-dropping moments throughout the entire night. One of the biggest shockers of the night was Drew McIntyre winning the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, only to cash in his contract later that night and lose the match due to yet another screw-job from CM Punk. It’s not the first time a superstar has cashed in their Money in the Bank contract the same night they won the briefcase, but McIntyre is the first superstar ever to win the briefcase, cash in, and lose on the same night. Following the World Heavyweight Championship match, Drew McIntyre lost his temper and elbowed Raw GM Adam Pierce in the face, causing Adam Pierce to announce the indefinite suspension of Drew McIntyre.

CM Punk took advantage of the fact that there are no disqualifications in triple-threat matches and turned it into a golden opportunity for himself to cost McIntyre for a third time. First at WrestleMania 40, secondly at Clash at the Castle, and finally at Money in the Bank. How much more can Drew McIntyre take? Not only was Drew McIntyre not happy with the interference, but Seth “Freakin” Rollins wasn’t too pleased with it as well. Rollins despises CM Punk with a passion and believes he’s a “cancer” to the locker room. If it weren’t for Punk, maybe Seth Rollins could have regained back the title he lost at WrestleMania 40.

The Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match was a great match to watch as there were many moments where the fans chanted, “This is awesome!” Drew McIntyre did everything he said he was going to do this past Monday on Raw at Money in the Bank, except for one thing. Winning the World Heavyweight Championship was the one thing he didn’t do. Adam Pierce is certainly a man you don’t want to mess around with, and Drew McIntyre just couldn’t cut it with that elbow to the face. With Drew McIntyre indefinitely suspended, what’s next for him when he comes back? He’ll probably be looking for CM Punk once again and close the beef by challenging him to a match at SummerSlam.
