Fantasy Football: Biggest Losers After Week Three

NFL

After three weeks of the NFL season, we’re now given enough information to see a team’s identity. With a proper outlook on the season, the fantasy results become more clear. In an eventful Week Three, there are many players and teams that garner concern. Here’s a look at the biggest stock declines for fantasy football.

Indianapolis Colts’ Pass Catchers

For the Colts’ wide receivers, it comes down to quarterback play. Anthony Richardson has a big arm, but it’s extremely inaccurate. Richardson has just 36 completions on a 49.3 completion percentage and a passer rating that ranks second lowest in the league, only ahead of Bryce Young. There may be big plays here and there through the air for the Colts, but the wide receiver room is in some serious trouble.

Miami Dolphins

We got our first look at what Miami’s offense would look like without Tua Tagovailoa and it was not good. The Dolphins had 205 total yards on offense and each of their playmakers suffered. This was against a Seahawks team that allowed 20 points to both the Broncos and the Patriots as well. The Dolphins need to figure out their solution at quarterback, or it could be a rough season for everyone on that Dolphins’ offense.

Jalen Hurts

The Philadelphia quarterback has already struggled this season, throwing for just three touchdowns, while turning the ball over six times. The most elite fantasy weapon for Jalen Hurts last year was his rushing touchdowns, but this year Saquon Barkley has eaten into those goal-line carries. Now, Hurts may have to operate without his top two targets A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith for some time. Adding to the injuries, offensive linemen Lane Johnson and Mekhi Becton were taken out of the game on Sunday. Hurts is put in a major hole with the Eagles getting the injury bug and may face some serious trouble.

Rachaad White

Rachaad White has been one of the worst-efficient runners in the NFL this season, averaging 2.1 yards per carry. In his three games, White has run for 66 yards. The only thing keeping him relevant is his volume, being heavily involved in the receiving game. However, with rookie Bucky Irving on the rise, averaging 6.2 yards per carry and running for 70 yards just last game, White’s role is in major jeopardy.

Mark Andrews

It is now time to panic on Mark Andrews. In a game where the Ravens put up 28 points in 33 minutes, Andrews was targeted just once and did not catch a ball. Baltimore is a run-first team, averaging over 200 rushing yards per game with a scary duo of Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson. With Andrews being used a ton in the blocking game, his fantasy upside continues to lower.
