Five Key Players to Watch on the Giants in Preseason Week Two

NFL

This weekend is the second preseason game for the New York Giants. Key players will be on display against the Texans. In this game, starters will be put in to warm them up for the regular season. Fans will be able to see them in action once again, and here’s what many people should be looking for.

1. Daniel Jones

It has been over nine months since Daniel Jones has played. There has been much talk about his return since last season. Jones has been out with an ACL tear since Week Nine against the Las Vegas Raiders. Jones will be making his return during Saturday's game against Houston. He was rusty at the beginning of training camps and wasn’t as put together as he should have been. However, with much practice, he should look healthy and decent in this coming weekend's game. By the middle of this week, Jones was throwing snaps and making ends meet with his receivers.

2. Wan'Dale Robinson

Wan’Dale Robinson is one of the guys that definitely should be looked for on the field this Saturday. He has come a long way from where he has been. He tore his ACL during his rookie training camp and spent much of last season rehabbing the knee. He will likely be an explosive player going down the field during his first game back this Saturday. Robinson was named among the NFL's top triple-threat receivers.

3. Theo Johnson

Theo Johnson has been another one making strides during training camps. He will be starring in this weekend's game against the Texans. He had his first taste of NFL action, and he’s ready for more. In training camps, he has flashed several athletic receptions from Jones. These two could cause greatness to happen during this weekend's game.

4. Nick McCloud

Nick McCloud is another one to watch while on the field. He is motivated to play. McCloud played very well in 2023. He picked up the first three forced fumbles and his first career interception. Many hope to see more of this from McCloud this coming season.

5. Tyler Nubin

Tyler Nubin missed the first few weeks of training camp. In the last couple of weeks, he has shown the Giants that he’s got what it takes to be a part of this team. He has been off and running since he first stepped foot on the field. He had 18 total plays for Detroit in the first game. Nubin did great making stops during this game, and many hope to see more from this safety.
