Former 2015 Pro Bowler Comes Out of Retirement to Join the Lions
There is a long list of legends that have come out of retirement to play football again, including Tom Brady and Brett Favre. Teddy Bridgewater joined that list today. Teddy Bridgewater has played for many teams in the NFL. He has played for the Vikings, Saints, Panthers, Broncos, Dolphins, and the Lions. His most notable season statistically was in 2020 for the Panthers. During that season, Bridgewater had 3,733 yards and 15 touchdowns. After coming back to coach his old high school, Teddy Bridgewater is coming back to the NFL to play for the Detroit Lions again.
The Last Year’s Success
Recently, Teddy Bridgewater went back to his alma mater, high school, to become the head coach. Bridgewater coached his high school to win the Florida Class 3A state title. It was an amazing story of Teddy Bridgewater, not forgetting where he came from. However, he has decided coaching football is not enough.
Teddy Bridgewater felt he had unfinished business at his old high school, and he won a state championship for them. He has also realized that he has unfinished business in the NFL and Detroit as well. Teddy Bridgewater will not come back to the Detroit Lions as a starter. However, if something happens to Jared Goff, Lions fans could rest easy knowing they have Bridgewater to replace him.
