Former Detroit Lion Eric Ebron Retires
Eric Ebron has announced his retirement from the NFL. Eric Ebron was a huge part of an explosive Detroit Lions offense in 2016. In an Instagram post, he stated, “A career is a career! I’m proud of me! Thankful for everyone along this journey #retired.” Ebron has had a lot of ups in his career with three different teams. He has a ton to be proud of.

Eric Ebron was drafted in 2014 in the first round by the Detroit Lions with the tenth overall pick. He played for Detroit for four seasons before he went to Indianapolis for two seasons and then Pittsburgh for another two. His best season for Detroit was in 2016, when he caught 711 yards and a touchdown for that season. When he went to Indianapolis, he played even better. In 2018, Ebron had 750 yards and 13 touchdowns. That season, he went to the Pro Bowl. His best season for the Steelers was in 2020 when he had 558 yards and five touchdowns.
Eric Ebron was a great football player with lots to be proud of. Ebron’s run with the Detroit Lions may have seemed brief, but his legacy will live on forever. Whatever he chooses to pursue in his next chapter, there is no doubt that he will be just as successful at that as he was able to be at football. He has left a mark that will not be forgotten.
