Former Giants QB Nominated to the Hall of Fame

NFL

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has released possible nominees for this year's 2025 Hall of Fame class. There are a total of 16 people who have landed on the first-year nominee status. This year was a big one for everyone. You have something to look forward to if you are a New York Football Giants fan. This year's eligibility class includes none other than two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning

Manning ranks among the top 10 in career passing yards, completions, and touchdown passes. He was always with the Giants during his career. He stayed with them until the very end when he was pushed into retirement several years ago. Since then, Daniel Jones has taken his place. Following that, he has made appearances at games and runs the Manning Show with his brother Peyton Manning.

Manning is not the only Giant on the ballot for this year's Hall of Fame class. He is joined by other Giants legends such as Tiki Barber, Jeremy Shockey, Justin Tuck, and others. All Giants legends who made things happen when they were on the playing field for this team. They are all still in touch with the Giants but in today's world, they watch from the sidelines.

This year's breakdown of the Hall of Fame class includes several different things. 16 players in their first year of eligibility, 94 offensive players, 56 defensive players, and 17 special teams players. Each one of these guys who were nominated must have not played in the last five seasons. There will be a bigger breakdown in the coming weeks. After a screening process, the list will be reduced to 50. This announcement will be made in mid-October. Then later on down to 25 semifinalists. Then ahead of the Super Bowl, this year's 2025 class will be announced to the public.

Only one can hope that Manning gets in with this year's Hall of Fame class. He had always been phenomenal on the field. If this is the case, he would be joining his brother who is already in the Hall of Fame. It would be something truly great for Giants fans to get to see and it would make fans feel much better about this season.
