Four-Time Pro Bowler Reaches Deal with the Patriots
Stefon Diggs has had a very long season, and it did not come to an end as planned. He ended up going out in Week Eight during a game against the Indianapolis Colts. He left the game with a torn ACL and ended his season on a very bad note. However, before that, he was playing amazingly on the field. Plus, he was able to see the Texans move forward into entering the playoffs this past season.
Diggs came to the Texans in the 2024-25 season after the Buffalo Bills traded him for a 2025 second-round pick that they took from the Minnesota Vikings. Originally, Diggs was drafted in 2015 by the Vikings and signed a four-year deal with them. In between then, the Vikings and the Bills traded draft picks to get Diggs to play for their team. He didn’t do that great when he was playing for the Buffalo Bills, nor when he played for the Vikings. Both teams were having trouble getting him to make it work offensively. So they decided that they would move him on in a great deal that was made between the Bills and the Texans.
The Texans took him in, and they signed him to a one-year deal. Now, this offseason, he returned to the market since the contract came to an end when the Texans were eliminated from the playoffs after their game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Now that Diggs has hit the market, he has had plenty of offers come his way. As of today, it was decided that he is going to play for the New England Patriots in a contract that was worked out to be a three-year deal worth $69 million. This team is thrilled that they are going to be able to work with him this coming season. They want him to give it his all, and even with his injury, he will have the chance to shine with them just as he did in Houston.
