Golf 2025 Player Prediction: Jon Rahm

There was a good balance of surprise wins, dominant performances, heartbreaks, and life-changing moments in the professional golf world in 2024. We had players go on historic runs, players reach new highs, and players reach new lows. These professional golfers gave the fans a little bit of everything in 2024, so what can we expect from them in 2025? Who will win the 2025 Majors? Will someone dominate the year? Whose game will fall off? Here is the 2025 Player Prediction for Jon Rahm.

Official World Golf Ranking: 18

Wins: 2 - LIV United Kingdom, LIV Chicago

Major Wins: 0

2024 Summary

Despite two wins on LIV and currently being ranked number one in LIV rankings in his first year on the tour, Jon Rahm would be the first to tell you that his 2024 season was a disappointment, especially when it came to his performances in the Majors this year. The former Masters winner finished tied for 45th at Augusta, missed the cut at the PGA Championship, withdrew from the U.S. Open, and had his best finish at the Open Championship finishing tied for seventh. He also finished tied for fifth at the Olympic games in Paris. For someone of Rahm’s caliber, 2024 was just an off-year. The game is still there and he certainly showed flashes of brilliance throughout the year, but was just never able to do it as consistently as we’re used to seeing him do. On the LIV Tour, he ranked first in greens in regulation, third in birdies, and third in scrambling. He is currently the 18th-ranked player in the official world golf rankings.

2025 Prediction

Towards the end of the 2024 season, Rahm started showing us more and more flashes of the dominance we’ve come to expect from him. Maybe it was the whirlwind of changes and media coverage of his move from his surprise move to LIV that caused him to lose some focus early on, but with all that behind him now, his 2025 should fare a lot better. Professional golf is certainly a better place when someone with Rahm’s killer instinct and fire is in contention, especially at the Majors. My prediction for Jon Rahm’s 2025 is 4+ total wins, contends in 2+ Majors, specifically the Masters and the Open Championship, automatically qualifies for the European Ryder Cup team, and finishes the year top 10 in the official world golf rankings.
