Despite two wins on LIV and currently being ranked number one in LIV rankings in his first year on the tour, Jon Rahm would be the first to tell you that his 2024 season was a disappointment, especially when it came to his performances in the Majors this year. The former Masters winner finished tied for 45th at Augusta, missed the cut at the PGA Championship, withdrew from the U.S. Open, and had his best finish at the Open Championship finishing tied for seventh. He also finished tied for fifth at the Olympic games in Paris. For someone of Rahm’s caliber, 2024 was just an off-year. The game is still there and he certainly showed flashes of brilliance throughout the year, but was just never able to do it as consistently as we’re used to seeing him do. Professional golf is certainly a better place when someone with Rahm’s killer instinct and fire is in contention, especially at the Majors.
