Golf 2025 Player Prediction: Tom Kim

The 2024 men’s professional golf season had its fair share of unforgettable moments, from young stars breaking through to seasoned veterans proving they are forces to be reckoned with. The future of the game looks bright with rising talents delivering electrifying performances and showcasing flashes of greatness. With the new season now underway fans get a chance to see which players will have their breakout season. Who will become staples on the leaderboard? Who will struggle to find their form? Who will win the 2025 Majors? Will someone dominate the year? Whose game will fall off? Here is the 2025 player prediction for Tom Kim.

Official World Golf Ranking: 24th

Wins: Zero

Major Wins: Zero

2024 Summary

Young Tom Kim’s 2024 season was certainly an up-and-down campaign. There were weeks where he looked like the best young talent on tour and some weeks where he just looked like a mediocre tour player. He did play well enough to make the President’s Cup International Team via points and had a pretty decent showing at the event despite an International Team loss. In the 24 events played in 2024, Kim had zero wins, two runner-ups, two top 10s, seven top 25s, and missed the cut five times. At the 2024 Majors, he finished tied for 30th at the Masters, tied for 26th at the PGA Championship, tied for 26th at the U.S. Open, and missed the cut at the Open Championship. His best finishes were runner-ups at the Traveler’s Championship and the Hero World Challenge. The 22-year-old finished the year ranked 64th in strokes gained total, 52nd in strokes gained tee to green, 74th in strokes gained off the tee, 49th in strokes gained on approach shots, and 114th in strokes gained putting. He is currently the 24th-ranked player on the official world golf rankings.

2025 Prediction

The young Republic of Korea native has played two events so far in 2025. He played the Sony Open in Hawaii where he finished tied for 65th and the American Express where he missed the cut. If Tom Kim wants to take the next step in his career, he is going to have to be more consistent week to week and needs to be in contention more often, especially at the Majors. He has the energy and fan backing to be an absolute star on tour, but the lack of wins and being near the top of leaderboards could cause fans to lose interest. My prediction for Tom Kim’s 2025 is one or fewer wins, will not contend at any of the Majors, but will be in the top 25 in at least one of them, and finish a top 30 player on the official world golf rankings.
