Key Takeaways From WWE Bad Blood

WWE

As predicted after last night’s events, WWE Bad Blood turned out to be one of the most unforgettable premium live events of 2024. Possible events that could change the landscape of WWE for the rest of 2024 and going into 2025. Fans saw some returns they’ll never forget as well as results that were quite shocking. What does the future hold for WWE after Bad Blood last night?

Jimmy Uso and “The Final Boss” Have Returned

The unlikely duo of the WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes and the “OTC” Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa and the “Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu in the main event last night. During the end of the match, a masked man in all black appeared to take out Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa with superkicks, then proceeded to unmask as the crowd went wild to see the face of a returning Jimmy Uso. This caused a distraction as Roman Reigns hit Solo Sikoa with a spear for the three-count to win the match. Reigns and Uso shared a hug after the match as Roman was so happy to see Jimmy back by his side.

As Roman and Jimmy were walking up the aisle, the new bloodline attacked Cody Rhodes from behind, causing Jimmy and Roman to come to Cody’s aid for the save. Very confused as to why Roman was helping out Cody, The Rock’s music hit and the fans went absolutely berserk. “The Final Boss” returned to stare down Reigns and Cody in the ring together. The Rock even gave Roman and Cody the iconic eyebrow raise as he was flabbergasted by what he was seeing in front of him. What do both of these returns mean for the Bloodline going forward? Will Roman Reigns shift his focus back to regaining the title he lost at WrestleMania?

What’s Next for Drew McIntyre After His Loss to CM Punk?

After a grueling and bloodied Hell in a Cell match, CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre inside the steel structure. As upset and devastated as McIntyre was after losing to Punk inside the cell, everyone is now wondering what will be next for the “Scottish Warrior?” Drew McIntyre had to get 16 stitches in his head after he was busted open during his match with Punk. On the other hand, Punk could barely move after the match when the paramedics came to put an oxygen mask on his face. Both of these guys went through hell and back in the match to try and come out of the cell on top. However, a final go-to-sleep from Punk with a chain wrapped around his knee to the skull of McIntyre sealed the deal for Punk. Will we see the return of McIntyre’s old theme “Broken Dreams” after his loss to Punk? What’s next for CM Punk?

Gunther vs. Goldberg to Happen in the Future?

Three weeks ago on Raw, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther came out to tell Bret “The Hitman” Hart that he’s a close second to his all-time favorite wrestler, Bill Goldberg. Last night at Bad Blood, Paul “Triple H” Levesque came out to make a history-making announcement coming up at Crown Jewel. There will be a Crown Jewel Championship to be fought for by the WWE Undisputed Champion and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Gunther then came out to address the Crown Jewel Championship as well as some legends in the crowd such as Bill Goldberg himself. He got under the skin of Goldberg by addressing his son Gage, who was sitting right next to him. Gunther stated to Gage, “I really hope Bill is a better father than he is a professional wrestler.” Goldberg then jumped the barrier and made his way to the ring before being stopped by security. Bill Goldberg is certainly a man you do not want to rattle the cage of. The fans would love nothing more than to see Gunther and Goldberg face off in an all-time classic. Regarding this potential match, Triple H stated in the post-presser, “Never say never.” Could we see this potential match of the ages?

Kevin Owens Attacked Cody Rhodes Outside His Bus After Bad Blood

Ever since Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens last month at Bash in Berlin, there has been a bit of tension between the two. Kevin Owens has been questioning whether he should trust Cody Rhodes or not because of the fact that he teamed up with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. Right before SmackDown went off the air this past Friday on SmackDown, there were some shoves being thrown from Owens and Rhodes after Kevin didn’t want Cody’s help against the new Bloodline. After Bad Blood went off the air, Kevin Owens was spotted talking to Cody Rhodes outside Cody’s bus. Tensions were flaring and as it turned out, Kevin pulled the trigger and started attacking Cody Rhodes. What is this going to mean in regards to Cody and Kevin’s friendship? What will Randy Orton have to say about the matter?
