As the clock ticked down to zero, Bates clinched the victory for the Lions with a 35-yard field goal, capping an 11-play, 53-yard drive, at 0:00. The final score stood at 34-31, in favor of Detroit.

Despite their valiant efforts and a promising comeback led by Love, the Packers were unable to overcome the Lions, falling for the second time this season. Detroit scraped by with a gutsy win, bolstered by their steadfast determination and strategic execution. The Lions maintain their lead in the NFC North and have secured their spot in the playoffs. This thrilling encounter not only highlighted the enduring intensity of one of the NFL's oldest rivalries but also showcased the resilience and competitive spirit of both teams.

Injuries include Packers’ safety Evan Williams, who endured a concussion and had to exit the game. Safety Javon Bullard injured his ankle and was unable to return. Defensive end Lukas Van Ness hurt his thumb but was able to remain on the field. For the Lions, injuries include defensive lineman Alim McNeill, who left with a head injury to be evaluated for a concussion, returned briefly but ultimately exited the game.
