Preview of the Monday Night Football Primetime Showdown in LA
Los Angeles is known for hosting all sorts of stars. From movie stars to pop stars the city has them all. Well tonight, we will witness a few extremely talented offensive players go back and forth in primetime on Monday Night Football. With both the Dolphins and Rams coming into this game further back than they would like to be at this point in the season due to key injuries to their star players, this game presents a chance for both squads to get right back into contention. So what are the keys for each squad in this game to secure a win this week?
Miami Dolphins: Let the Ball Fly!
Tyreek Hill has been kept in a bottle for far too long for this Miami offense. Last year, Tyreek Hill had nearly 1800 yards and 13 touchdowns, but so far this year he is only on pace for 900 yards and two touchdowns! This is largely because of the injury to Tua Tagovailoa, but with him back now, the Dolphins need to start trusting this explosive combination again. What is fortunate for the Dolphins is that this Rams defense has the worst yards per-pass ratio in the league as they allow over eight yards per passing play. The Dolphins need to find a way to use Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle early and often in this game in order to set up De’Von Achane out of the backfield.
Los Angeles Rams: Keep Kyren Running Consistently!
Although the Rams were able to come away from their last game with a win over the Seattle Seahawks in overtime, it took an absolute collapse from Geno Smith late in that game in order to secure the win. The Rams will finally have both of their elite wide receivers available with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua healthy and ready for this game, barring no in-game ejections like last week for Puka. However, the Rams need to find a way to stay ahead of the chains in this game instead of throwing the ball so much. The Dolphins’ defense is really good against the pass which could cause some problems for the Rams, so the best way for this offense to keep up with the Dolphins high powered offense is to slow the game down through Kyren Williams on the ground. If the Rams can control the clock with Kyren Williams, and be efficient when passing the ball to their elite wideouts, they could certainly win this game at home.
