Randy Orton Signs Five-Year Extension With WWE

WWE

“The Viper” Randy Orton has signed a five-year contract extension with WWE. It looks like we’re going to be seeing a lot more of the “Apex Predator” in the next five years. Last week on Raw, Randy Orton came out to challenge “The Ring General” Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin. Randy feels that he deserves this title shot because of what happened in the King of the Ring final at King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia. Orton’s shoulders weren’t fully pinned down on the mat, and the referee didn’t see it, which gives Randy a viable reason to challenge Gunther to a rematch.

Randy Orton is a 14-time World Champion, and he plans to become a 15-time World Champion at Bash in Berlin, which would make him one world championship reign short of tying Ric Flair and John Cena for the all-time record. Orton signed with the WWE in 2000 and debuted on the main roster in 2002. Around this time 20 years ago, he became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion of all time, defeating Chris Benoit at SummerSlam 2004. Since then, Randy Orton has become one of the most unpredictable and violent superstars in the industry. Hearing those voices in his head has made Randy Orton one of the most dangerous superstars in WWE today.

The next five years are going to be interesting now that “The Legend Killer” has re-signed with the company. With John Cena soon to be on his farewell tour in 2025, fans around the world want to see him square off against Randy Orton one last time, possibly at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas next year. But before that, Randy has his sights set on Gunther and the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin. Last week on Raw, Gunther claimed that nothing catches him out of nowhere and Randy responded by saying he wants Gunther to see it coming. Last night on Raw, Orton caught Gunther with a RKO out of nowhere after Gunther claimed Randy Orton to be the “biggest screwup” in his family. Will we see Randy Orton defeat Gunther at Bash in Berlin to become a 15-time World Champion?
