Ranking the NFL’s Remaining Undefeated Teams

NFL

Through three weeks, there are a few surprising teams that are still undefeated. Regardless of whether these teams have had an easy opening schedule or a few lucky breaks, they are still undefeated. Five teams remain unbeaten, including the Bills, Chiefs, Vikings, Seahawks, and Steelers. So, who is the strongest of these unbeaten teams?

1. Buffalo Bills

Despite a ton of changes to this team, they still are a dominant force in the NFL. The Jaguars were the latest team to feel the sheer force of the Bills as they got dominated 47-10. Josh Allen has looked like an MVP candidate to open up the season with 719 total yards, nine total touchdowns, and zero interceptions. The Bills were expected to decline following an offseason with a lot of departures; however, it might have been addition by subtraction as the Bills look better to open up the season than they looked last year.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have looked mostly together to start the season, but they have had a few mishaps that are uncharacteristic of them. Patrick Mahomes has already thrown four interceptions through three games, which isn’t like him. However, when it comes to winning games, there is nobody in the NFL I’d rather have running my team. The Chiefs have faced a tough opening schedule and have managed to find a way to win all of those games. I’d expect the Chiefs to get better as Mahomes continues to look to develop chemistry with his receivers as they are determined to get back to the Super Bowl.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers

These are one of the surprise teams that I was confident about entering into the season to shock people. This defense is really strong, and with Mike Tomlin in control, don’t be surprised if this defense finishes as the best in the league this season. Through three games, they have allowed less than nine points per contest to opposing offenses. If the offense can continue to be consistent and not turn the ball over, then expect them to continue to win low-scoring games all season long.

4. Minnesota Vikings

Sam Darnold has resurrected his career in Minnesota this season. Through three games, Darnold has thrown for 657 yards, eight touchdowns, and only two interceptions. Everyone doubted Darnold and this Vikings team heading into the season, and they have shocked a lot of people with their recent performances. Despite facing strong opponents like the 49ers and Texans, they have managed to emerge from those matchups victorious behind strong efforts on both sides of the ball. Can Sam Darnold and the Vikings continue this impressive streak?

5. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have had a rather easy schedule to open up the season, which could be the reason for their early season success. Their first three opponents have been the Broncos, the Patriots, and the depleted Dolphins. Geno Smith hasn’t looked pretty in these matchups, as he has thrown for 787 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. The Seahawks' next few matchups are much tougher, including the Detroit Lions next week on Monday Night Football, which should prove whether or not the Seahawks are contenders or pretenders.
