Ricochet Expected to Leave WWE When His Contract Expires This Summer

WWE

The “Highlight of the Night” Ricochet is set to leave WWE when his contract expires this summer. This came as a shock to many fans who were absolute fanatics of Ricochet and what he could do in the ring. He was a former Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, NXT North American Champion, Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winner, and most recently the first-ever WWE Speed Champion. Ever since Ricochet was drafted to Raw during Night One of the WWE Draft, he’s only competed in five matches, winning three of those five. People call Ricochet the “Highlight of the Night” because he’s been known to go viral for all the acrobatic and crazy maneuvers he can pull off inside the ring. One of those moments was a mid-air collision he had with Logan Paul during the 2023 Royal Rumble match.

Ricochet signed with WWE in 2018, starting in NXT, then eventually got moved up to the main roster a year later. Many believe that Ricochet is leaving WWE because he was underutilized and WWE management didn’t use his potential to the fullest. He was honestly everything you could ask for in a WWE superstar, great on the microphone and even better in the ring. Ricochet was even a part of a tag team with “The Monster of all Monsters” Braun Strowman for some time last year. In the past two weeks, WWE has used Ricochet as some would say a “stepping stone” to unleash the full potential of Bron Breakker, who just recently made his jump to the main roster.

There also comes a question about Ricochet’s contract expiring. What does his wife, Samantha Irvin, think about this? Samantha Irvin is the voice of WWE currently and has done one of the best jobs as a ring announcer that WWE has ever seen in a long time. If Ricochet is leaving the company, does that mean Samantha is leaving too? If that were to happen, WWE would be losing two very important pieces to their company, the voice and a highlight reel. Is Ricochet thinking about jumping ship to a different wrestling promotion? Only time will tell as Ricochet starts to think about his options.
