Ronda Rousey Scrapped Plans with Becky Lynch

WWE

The plans of having Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35 were scrapped. This came after Ronda Rousey had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. The interview was about her WWE run, if she would return, and how her feud with Becky Lynch fell flat. Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch almost headlined WrestleMania 35. It was scrapped for Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair. The majority of fans were upset with this decision as they wanted to see Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey. Fans deemed it the worst WrestleMania main event of all time. Seeing it live was awful as fans waited hours thinking the match would be good. However, they were mistaken as the match was sloppy and a snoozefest.

Ronda Rousey became irritated with her time at WWE. She would make her appearance and then leave for a few months. A mistake WWE made was to have her win the Royal Rumble instead of Sasha Banks. Fans were angry with this decision as they saw Sasha Banks as the clear favorite. As Ronda Rousey won the Royal Rumble, fans expected nothing more than another awful match from her. The majority of Becky Lynch fans wanted Ronda vs. Becky again. The official match was Charlotte vs. Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 38. She lost to Charlotte Flair in the end. Ronda did not stop there as she continued to wrestle until her contract ended. She teamed up with Shayna Baszler where they won the Women's Tag Team Championship.

This month she mentioned how WWE asked her to wrestle Becky Lynch at Evolution Two. Ronda spoke about how she looked forward to the feud with Becky Lynch. It came down to timing. Both women waited for the right opportunity, it just did not work out in the end. They had a heated argument on X. Fans waited for the other to continue the argument. Regardless, Ronda Rousey would have a hard time coming up with material, as Becky Lynch would have the upper hand. In the end, Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch could have happened if WWE listened to fans at the time.
