Sheamus Stays Home: WWE Star Recommits to the Ring
Looks like we’ll be seeing “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus around a lot more now as he just signed a five-year contract extension with WWE. A few months back in August, fellow superstar Randy Orton also signed a five-year extension with the company, so we’ll be seeing these two veterans for the foreseeable future. Sheamus has been away from the company throughout the last few months to deal with injuries but made his return to Raw last week. He is scheduled to wrestle Ludwig Kaiser on next week’s episode of Raw.
Sheamus made his debut in WWE in 2009 and he’s made one heck of an impact since he’s been a tenured superstar. He’s won multiple championships including the World Title, United States Championship, and Tag Team Championship. He’s also won King of the Ring, Money in the Bank, and the Royal Rumble. The only title preventing him from being a Grand Slam Champion is the Intercontinental Championship, which hopefully he will win very soon. Sheamus has been in a long-term feud with Ludwig Kaiser since the middle of last year. They both have had multiple matches with one another and have been exchanging victories. He’s tried to win the Intercontinental Championship, but Kaiser has prevented him from doing so. Once this feud is over, Sheamus will probably set his sights on the title that has eluded him his entire career.
Regarding his contract extension, Sheamus said, “I’ll go until the wheels fall off. I’ll do it until I physically can’t do it anymore.” It’s very clear that “The Celtic Warrior” loves what he does and he doesn’t plan on stopping until the time is right. Sheamus has had many highlights of his career including winning the 2012 Royal Rumble and winning the World Heavyweight Championship about two months later at WrestleMania 28 in a mere 18 seconds. Also cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Roman Reigns and winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was truly a night to remember. Fans are very happy to see that Sheamus will be around for the long run and hopefully, we get to see him finally win the Intercontinental Championship.
