T-Wolves Cook Suns During Game One Win
Many have underestimated the Minnesota Timberwolves heading into the 2024 NBA Playoffs. However, they just put every doubter on notice after they demolished the Phoenix Suns in a 120-95 home victory. Guys like Devin Booker and Bradley Beal could not perform to their usual star-level quality, which was ultimately a downside in the Suns opening series loss. If the T-Wolves continue to cook the Suns just like they did in Game One, the hopes of Minnesota making a deep playoff run can be realistic.

Minnesota was able to knock down more shot opportunities than their opponents in the second and outrebounded the Suns 15-6. The Timberwolves held a 14-point lead at one point but would walk into halftime leading Phoenix by 10. Kevin Durant led all scorers at halftime with 18 points. Phoenix tried to fight back during the early part of the third quarter, but in the latter half, the Timberwolves went on a 10-0 run. They continued to press their foot on the gas and led by 20 after three-quarters of play. Phoenix had no answers for this Timberwolves team in the fourth and completely fell apart in this 120-95 loss.
