“The Martian” Returns to Yankee Field

MLB

The New York Yankees have a super busy week ahead of them. One of those is a great player making his return to the field. Jasson Domínguez, also known as “the Martian,” got to play with the Yankees again and participate in the playoff race. He currently stands as the Yankees’ number-one prospect and the 16th-best prospect in baseball. All of this took place right before the Yankees took on the Royals at their home stadium.

They expect Domínguez to play a lot during the playoffs. He has big shoes to fill, and there is no doubt that he will meet the criteria required for them. He will be helpful for the next few weeks as the team pushes to try and go for the American League East division title. As for October, if he keeps playing like he does, he will qualify for the postseason roster; he was already on the main roster at the end of August.

The game earlier this week was just fantastic to watch. Domínguez went one for four with a stolen base. He also scored a run for the Yankees. They won this game with a score of 10-4, a win over the Royals. He hasn’t had time to shine until now. Domínguez did great in this game with everything he has done thus far. The Yankees are happy with him, and so are the rest of the fans. Domínguez also played in center field but will get moved to left field for the next few weeks.

His stats also came back really well for this team. Domínguez put up great numbers. He has put up massive numbers with Triple-A Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, with a .347/.398/.560 slash line, four home runs, 11 RBIs, and seven steals in 18 games. These are all things that the Yankees are keeping an eye on currently.

The Yankees will play against the Royals again tonight as they try to earn a spot in the playoffs in the final three weeks of the regular season. Domínguez is expected to play and show more of what he has got. Many fans have been waiting for this moment. Now they have finally got it. Manager Aaron Boone feels they chose to put him back into the game.
