The Slow Demise of A-Town Down Under

WWE

On the February 11th episode of NXT, current NXT Champion Oba Femi stepped into the ring and talked about the challenge he will be facing at NXT Vengeance Day. Not only is this a triple-threat match, but it’s against the tag team of A-Town Down Under, composed of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. When Waller and Theory went on the mic with Femi, the tag team’s slow demise started to show. Theory began to tell his partner that he was the only one with singles accolades, such as the WWE United States Championship. Waller proceeded to tell Theory that he was the reason they won the WWE Tag Team Championship back at WrestleMania XL. Both said some harsh words and began to push one another before they began to attack and double-team on the NXT Champion. At NXT Vengeance Day, will we see the demise of A-Town Down Under and see both Theory and Waller have their own singles run?

The WWE has teased the breakup of this tag team multiple times after WrestleMania XL. However, A-Town Down Under always played the slow demise off or have used the rumors of the potential breakup as one of the butt ends of their jokes. We have waited for both WWE Superstars to break off from one another and branch off for their own singles run. However, not until we get Theory vs. Waller first. It will be interesting to see if this tag team will face off against one another at WrestleMania XLI. With their matchup at NXT Vengeance Day against Femi, I cannot see Oba dropping the title this early in his reign. This could possibly mean that A-Town Down Under will think they're using the numbers game on the NXT Champion. Once Femi seems like he’s out of the match, the two tag team partners will go at one another, most likely showing the slow demise of their friendship. Eventually, Oba comes back with a force and creates vengeance for A-Town Down Under to retain his championship.

NXT Vengeance Day will be a treat for fans. This match alone sparks many’s interest, yet, the entire card looks to be a phenomenal show. Virtually every NXT title is on the line except the NXT North American Championship. It would be fantastic to watch the slow demise of A-Town Down Under and create another interesting scenario heading into the biggest WrestleMania of all time. Will both Theory and Waller keep cool and stick together in this matchup or will we see the end of a friendship and tag team on Saturday?
