These Three MLB Teams Are on A Six-Game Winning Streak

MLB

Winning streaks come and go, especially in the long grueling 162-game MLB regular season, where a win streak could make or break the success of a franchise. So far this season, we’ve seen multiple win streaks from a ton of teams. The Minnesota Twins have held the longest winning streak thus far this season claiming 12 games in a row. Just recently, we saw the worst team in the National League, the Colorado Rockies win seven games in a row. Currently, three teams hold a six-game winning streak, and two of these teams are in the same division. How will the luck for these teams pan out?

Three MLB Teams That Lead the Way with A Six-Game Win Streak

Philadelphia Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies are undoubtedly the hottest and most dangerous team in baseball. At 37-14, this team has been the most successful team in the Majors. They’re currently six games ahead of the Atlanta Braves in the National League East division. During Philadelphia’s six-game win streak, they won the last three games of a four-game series with divisional rival, the Washington Nationals, then the Phillies swept the defending World Series champion Texas Rangers. They now head into a three-game series with the worst team in the National League, the Colorado Rockies. Bryce Harper leads the way with 12 home runs and 37 RBIs with a .281 batting average. Ranger Suárez has put up an incredible 9-0 record through 10 starts. The Phillies will look to continue their win streak as we head into June.

Cleveland Guardians

It’s been two years since we saw the Cleveland Guardians back on top of the AL Central division. They’re currently 33-17, a game and a half above the Kansas City Royals. Cleveland has just swept both division rivals, the Minnesota Twins and the New York Mets in a three-game series to give them a solid six-game winning streak. The Guardians now head to Anaheim for a three-game series with the 20-20 Angels. Starter Logan Allen and reliever Nick Sandlin have a combined record of 9-2, Allen is 5-2, while Sandlin is 4-0 in 26 appearances. Tanner Bibee leads the Guardians’ pitching staff with 56 strikeouts. Both first baseman Josh Naylor and third baseman José Ramírez lead the team with 12 home runs apiece. Ramírez’ has knocked in 45 RBIs, and is tied with Andrés Giménez, and Brayan Rocchio with seven stolen bases. Cleveland looks to take the AL Central title for the first time since the 2022 regular season.

Kansas City Royals

Although the Royals were once in fourth place of the AL Central division, just above the worst team in the American League, the Chicago White Sox, Kansas City has risen to the occasion placing themselves in second right behind the Guardians within the division. Their six-game winning streak has consisted of the Royals sweeping the Oakland Athletics in three games, and divisional rival, the Detroit Tigers in another three games. Royals’ young promising shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. has certainly made an early discussion for the AL MVP race. Through 198 at-bats, he’s bounced around 61 hits, and seven home runs, with 33 RBIs, 16 stolen bases, and a .308 batting average. Salvador Perez leads the team with nine home runs and 39 RBIs. Starter Seth Lugo is 7-1 through 10 starts with a 1.79 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 58 strikeouts. Although Cole Ragans has a 4-3 record through 11 starts, he leads the team with 76 strikeouts. The Royals look to make a resurgence, and recapture the AL Central title for the first time since 2015, back when they made, and won the World Series against the New York Mets.
