Three Trade Destinations for Three-Time All-Pro Wideout

NFL

The Raiders haven’t had the greatest success after Derek Carr left to go to the New Orleans Saints. Davante Adams had a connection with Carr throughout college which was one of his main reasons for wanting to go to the Raiders after leaving Green Bay. Since being on the Raiders, Adams has been successful but doesn’t have that same spark plug effect he had with the Packers. He now looks to go on the move and the Raiders are officially listening to trade talks. Who are the possible trade suitors for Adams?

1. New York Jets

Why not follow your old running mate who you’ve had a lot of success with? That running mate would be Aaron Rodgers. With Rodgers, Adams averaged just about 84 receptions a year with just under nine touchdowns a year. A reuniting would be something no one in the National Football League wants to see. Pairing Adams also with Garrett Wilson on the opposite side would be a nightmare for opposing defenses. Opposing corners would be in shambles.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes has the ability to make any wide receiver look like a star but hasn’t had a true number-one wide receiver since Tyreek Hill. Travis Kelce does gain a lot of attention from opposing defenses, but imagine a duo of Mahomes and Adams. After Rashee Rice went down for the Chiefs, they have a very thin receiver room with not many guys that can go up and make a play for you. It is very unlikely, but getting Adams would revive this Chiefs receiver room and would allow them to get back to true full potential.

3. New Orleans Saints

They had limited time together, but Derek Carr did unleash Adams’ full potential in the one season they played together. Adams put up the second most yards and touchdowns in his career with 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns. The Saints have had a lot of success in the rushing game. Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed have shown signs that they can lead this receiving crew, but adding a guy like Adams would open it all up. Giving Carr another weapon would make this New Orleans team a legitimate contender not only in the NFC South but in the whole NFC.
