Top Contenders for the Evolve Women’s Championship

WWE

Through eight episodes, WWE Evolve has displayed the future stars of sports entertainment. This transformative show has highlighted several athletes who could be household names in the future. However, the biggest stars come from the Women’s Division. There is a big emphasis on women’s wrestling on Evolve, and rightfully so, as they continue to deliver in the ring. Over the past few weeks, there have been rumblings of an Evolve Women’s Championship being introduced. Stevie Turner, the Prime Minister of Evolve, hinted at sharing some big news on the April 23rd episode of Evolve. If the rumors are true of a championship for the women’s division, then fans should know these names as Evolve gets set to crown their first Women’s Champion.

Kali Armstrong

The powerhouse from Inglewood, CA, is a force to be reckoned with. Kali Armstrong has been on a tear since losing her first match in Evolve in a tag team match. Armstrong has showcased that she is the top star of the women’s division. She proved that by beating Brinley Reece, Kendal Grey, and Chantel Monroe in a Fatal Four-Way Match. The three women she beat were undefeated at the time. Armstrong is also good on the mic because she makes you believe everything she says, and she backs it up in the ring. Armstrong reminds some fans of Bianca Belair due to her strength, agility, and power. Once she puts it all together, the WWE may have a future superstar on their hands.

Kendal Grey

Hailing from Las Vegas, NV, Grey brings experience to Evolve that most members of the women’s division do not. She has been wrestling since high school and has a background in jiu-jitsu. Grey competed in a few matches in NXT before transitioning to Evolve. She has showcased her passion for the business in promos, and despite her small stature, she can hold her own in the ring. Though she has lost to Armstrong before, she is still a contender to win the championship due to all the attributes she has showcased in the ring and her connection with the fans.

Brinley Reece

Brinley Reece is a name fans from NXT will recognize, as she had been on the show for months before heading down to Evolve. Reece has the talent and charisma to be a star in the WWE, but she got lost in the shuffle in NXT. However, she has taken full advantage during her time at Evolve. The star who is “BrinActive” has lots of energy and displays a passion for fitness. She also displays confidence and a need to be the top star in Evolve, traits that were not seen on the Silver and Black brand. Reece will be one of the fan favorites to win, and even if she isn’t the first champion, she will be in contention to win it soon afterward.

A tournament will most likely be held to determine the first Evolve Women’s Champion. The stars mentioned above will be the favorites looking to make history. This will be a big showcase for the women’s division, and it will be fun to watch what the women do on this stage. Whoever wins this match will have a case to say that they are the face of the Evolve brand.
