Two Matches Set for WWE Stand and Deliver
On the April 1st episode of NXT, two championship matches were made official for Stand and Deliver. Both matches will shape the future of NXT where we will see a new champion crowned in the women’s division and the NXT Champion, Oba Femi will face two men that he has had a problem with in a Triple Threat match. The Road to this landmark event was hit with a stunner when Stephanie Vaquer decided to relinquish the NXT Women’s North American Championship. After winning the big winner-take-all match at Roadblock and defending both championships in one night, Vaquer along with Ava, NXT’s General Manager, decided that it was not fair for her to defend the Women’s North American title alone due to the depth of the women’s division. She will now focus on defending the NXT Women’s Championship. Now, six stars will get a shot at calling themselves champion when the vacated title is up for grabs in a ladder match at Stand and Deliver. Zaria and Kelani Jordan have already qualified for the match with other participants qualifying in the coming weeks. Whoever wins this match will not only become the new champion but will get a huge WrestleMania weekend moment.
The main event of Stand and Deliver was announced as well as Femi will defend the title against Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans. Williams has been on the verge of losing himself ever since he lost the title to the Ruler of NXT and Evans is looking to prove that this is his moment. One question that remains is what role will Darkstate play in this match. The new group has attacked Femi and Evans in recent weeks and attacked Williams on the April 1st episode. However, could that have been a trick to throw fans off of Williams’ rumored involvement with the group?
The hype for Stand and Deliver is at an all-time high as this event will look to shape the course of what the Silver and Black brand will do for the remainder of the year. This event always delivers and it is shaping up to be one of the best Stand and Deliver events. Just the announcement of these two matches is exciting alone and only more matches will be added to an exhilarating card. So, who will hit it big by winning the Women’s North American Championship? Whose luck will run out in a huge Triple Threat Match? Those questions will be answered at Stand and Deliver.
