Tyler Nubin, the Possible 2024 Giants Breakout Player of the Year

NFL

The New York Football Giants rookies have what it takes to be a New York Giants. No one saw what was coming when these guys were drafted earlier this year. The Giants made pretty good decisions as to who they wanted. A handful have stood out, and one has stood out especially for the Giants: Tyler Nubin. Someone that the Giants could get excited about this year.

Nubin, the 47th pick in this year's draft, was a strategic choice. The Giants knew what they were looking for, and they found it in him. His potential is a beacon of hope for the Giants this year, promising a bright future for the team.  Nubin had great stats in college and will continue with them while playing for the Giants. The 23-year-old safety has started in 55 games. He has had 13 receptions. Nubin has made 207 tackles, 143 of which were solo. Nubin has also broken up 24 passes during his college days. He has also had a few starts during the preseason games and was considered to be someone to keep an eye on

Nubin is a big guy and the perfect fit for the safety position. His size and length are attributes that teams covet on the back end. His split-and-robber mentality, his knack for getting the ball, and his use of length and agility to expand his tackle range while being light on his feet make him a unique and exciting player to watch.  He’s not as quick as they need him to be, but Nubin still makes things happen on the field. He has the average burst from his man-to-man transition while he plays. He also runs too steep and needs to work on this before preventing the leverage on the sidelines. His is not as average as everyone thinks. He stands out a little bit more while he is on the field. It’s not talked about much, but Giants players have put it out there that Nubins can make these plays happen.

However, he compensates for all his weaknesses by being instinctive and working on the field. Nubin just has it, according to the team. He can also make the most of things when he gets the chance. This year, the Giants voted him one of the top breakout players. He was voted among several other players on the team, such as Jason Pinnock, Deonte Banks, and a handful of others. His play will be shown in week one against the Vikings. Nubin will be one player that the Giants will remember. He wants to be the number one guy, and he will definitely show it in the coming season.
