Uprising Pitchers Possibly Going to the Playoffs

MLB

The Philadelphia Phillies have had an exciting season so far. They are trying to clinch a playoff berth and land a spot for the postseason. However, there is one area where the team seems to be doing fantastic. That's where pitchers come in. The Phillies have one of the most outstanding pitcher rotations in the league.

That being said, they may be able to scare their opponents this coming October. They have pitchers such as Zach Wheeler, Aaron Nola, Ranger Suárez, and Christopher Sánchez. Both Wheeler and Nola are considered the best pitchers in the entire league.

Depending on how they play, they may or may not make it to the playoffs and the World Series this year. Last year's loss to the Diamondbacks was considered a setback. It’s up to the pitcher to decide what the Phillies will do on the field. The Phillies do have a fighting chance for this year.

However, there have been two pitchers who have overshadowed Suárez and Sánchez. They pitch decently, but not like Wheeler or Nola. Sánchez had a better season, but he did his best to keep the ball within the yard and not let it go far despite who was at bat at the time.

He has had a great season, keeping things up for this team. However, he has been overshadowed by the Phillies' bigger pitching names names. His stats are pretty decent. He is a lefty with a total record of 10-9, a 3.33 ERA, and a WAR of 4.6. Wheeler's totals may be coming up much better, and he may be the more extensive choice that Philly goes with. However, Sanchez seems to have won over the people's trust during the games.

Undoubtedly, by October, he could become a household name. If they do make it into the playoffs, there is no doubt that he can become much more prominent. He could be just as great as the other two pitchers who currently throw for the team. If this is the case, he will undoubtedly garner more attention.
