What Can Cam Skattebo Bring to the Giants?

NFL

The Giants finished up making their picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. They made some fantastic picks this year. The Giants have nearly followed up on everything that they needed to get in this year's draft. They got Abdul Carter and Jaxson Dart, among others. However, in the fourth round, with their third pick, they decided to pick Cam Skattebo. This running back is already considered to be a complete asset for the New York Giants.

Skattebo has complete balance and can break through nearly any wall. He reads blocks quickly on the field and manages to get by them. His size is a big help, too. Skattebo is built to be more muscular and is closer to the ground in height. His physicality should be complementary and can help his offensive line for this coming season. He is already considered to be a human wrecking ball on the field. At five-foot-nine and weighing 219 pounds, this running back has proven himself while playing at Arizona State. Skattebo's college stats include the following: he has appeared in 25 games, has 157 carries for 2,494 yards, and scored a total of 30 touchdowns. The Giants hope that this production translates to the next level.

The Giants will hopefully make the right decision to start him this coming season. He has already proven that he has a fast set of legs. His 40-yard dash time is 4.65 seconds. His numbers are very close to Malik Nabers, and the two of them being put together on the field will be nothing but explosive. Having two explosive threats on the field is something that the Giants have been looking for. It will be exciting for the fans to watch this coming season. This is something that they haven’t gotten to see since the days of Victor Cruz, Odell Beckham Jr., and Saquon Barkley before he parted ways with New York to go to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Skabetto may not be known for how fast he is. However, he is known for his powerful, smaller size, the exceptional vision that he has on the field, and contact balance. This running back could help the Giants in the most amazing ways possible. They could get more on the scoreboard than they did last year. Skabetto is the guy that the Giants have been looking for, for the past several seasons.
