What to Look for at the Team USA Olympic Trials
As we near the 2024 Paris Olympics, Team USA has the much anticipated Olympic Trials scheduled for this month. Over a two-week period, some of the best athletes in the country will compete to represent the United States in the world’s biggest international athletic event. Here is everything you need to not miss a moment of Olympic Trial action.
The swimming trials will take place from June 15-23 in Indianapolis, Indiana. For the first time, a football stadium will host the trials. The Indianapolis Colts’ home of Lucas Oil Stadium has been converted into a natatorium for the events, the largest of its kind in the country. Preliminary rounds will begin on the first day of the trials at 11 am, with final sessions at 8 pm. You can watch the swimming trials on the USA Network, NBC, and streaming on Peacock.
To make sure you don’t miss out on some of the best Team USA has to offer, some of the prominent swimmers looking to qualify for Team USA are gold medalists Katie Ledecky, Simone Manuel, and Caeleb Dressel. Katie Grimes will join that group of stars looking to qualify for her second Olympics at just 18 years old! Up-and-comers Mariah Denigan and Ivan Puskovitch will be looking to make names for themselves as well, not just at the trials but at the Paris games as well. Team USA track and field trials will occur from June 21-30 in Eugene, Oregon. The preliminary rounds will last the week of the 21st, with most of the major event finals landing on the evening sessions of June 29 and 30. The NBC family of networks and streaming on Peacock. One of the track athletes to watch is Sha’Carri Richardson, the phenom of the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints. Fiona O’Keeffe will be one to watch as she has already qualified for the marathon. KC Lightfoot has emerged as a star in the pole vault, and Brittany Brown has excelled in the 200 meters as well.
