What’s Next for Becky Lynch After Her Contract Expires?

WWE

It’s no secret that Becky Lynch is one of the biggest and most popular superstars in WWE today. However, as of June 1st, Becky’s contract expires with WWE, and she’ll be taking an “extended leave” of absence for a long period of time. Does that mean she’ll re-sign? Will “The Man” be taking her talents to a different wrestling promotion? The world is itching to know what the future plans are for “The Man.”

After Rhea Ripley had to relinquish the Women’s World Championship due to a shoulder injury, Becky Lynch won a 14-woman Battle Royal by last eliminating Liv Morgan to win the Women’s World Championship. Becky’s reign lasted only a month as Liv completed her Revenge Tour at the 2024 King and Queen of the Ring Tournament. Just two days later on Raw, Becky got a chance to win her title back in a Steel Cage match against Liv Morgan. In a shocking turn of events, towards the end of the match, “Dirty” Dominick Mysterio came out to help Becky win the title, but it didn’t work out the way he wanted. Braun Strowman came out running after Judgement Day members Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. As Becky was about to escape the cage, Braun knocked Dominick into the door, slamming back into the face of Becky Lynch and knocking her out cold. Liv Morgan took advantage and escaped the cage to win the match and retain her title. Immediately following the match, Liv Morgan kissed Dominick Mysterio as a thank you, but Dom didn’t take too kindly to it.

Becky Lynch is a seven-time Women’s World Champion and has been one of the greatest female superstars to step inside the squared circle. Her greatest moment came in a Winner Take All Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 35 when she defeated both Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to walk out of WrestleMania with both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships. Becky has a lot to think about as her contract expires very soon. What will her husband Seth “Freakin” Rollins have to say about the matter? Hopefully, Becky will re-sign because, at the end of the day, there’s no stopping “The Man” when she comes around.
