Who Are the Possible Opponents for Jey Uso?

WWE

Jey Uso's miraculous win over Gunther at WrestleMania 41 opened the door to an exciting new chapter in his career. To make his title run truly memorable, though, he'll need strong opponents and fresh storylines to keep fans hooked. Thankfully, there are several WWE superstars who could step up as worthy challengers, each bringing something unique to the table. These potential rivalries could take Jey's reign to the next level.

One of the most exciting potential opponents for Jey Uso is L.A. Knight. Despite his popularity with fans, Knight has been stuck in the mid-card, far from the main event spotlight he deserves. A feud with Jey could highlight Knight’s charisma and rising star, offering a fresh rivalry packed with intense promos and personal stakes. The personality clash between Knight, who is a cocky character, and Jey, who was formally known for “crashing out,” displayed his intensity when it came to storylines.

Another exciting potential opponent for Jey Uso would be CM Punk. A matchup between the two would mix incredible in-ring ability with hope for a very interesting storyline. Punk’s sharp tongue and rebellious attitude would blend well with Jey’s passionate and intense personality and create a memorable story. This rivalry could not only heighten anticipation but also push Jey to showcase his full range as a performer.

Jey Uso should steer clear of a feud with Seth Rollins. After his recent rivalry with Bron Breakker, he’s going to need something different, especially since Rollins and Breakker are now working together. A long feud with Rollins could feel too similar to what he’s already done with Bron. Jey would be better off exploring new matchups that bring something fresh to the table.

For Jey Uso’s title run to be truly memorable, he’ll need rivalries that go beyond just in-ring action. The underwhelming buildup to his match with Gunther at WrestleMania 41 shows that WWE needs to give Jey more compelling storylines to really get invested in. If his reign as World Heavyweight Champion is going to make an impact, it’s important that they build deeper narratives for him. Creating more engaging storylines will help elevate his championship run.
