Why Bad Blood Will Culminate This Year’s WWE Storytelling

WWE

So far in 2024, the WWE has done a phenomenal job with their storytelling, bringing us fans on a wild ride that no one may have expected. There are only a few more Premium Live Events left in 2024 with the only one taking place in the United States being Bad Blood in Atlanta on October 5th. This is the first time since 2004 that the WWE is bringing back the Bad Blood pay-per-view. Bad Blood will define this year’s WWE storytelling in a multitude of ways. With the way things are shaping up, this Premium Live Event could be one of the best overall events since WrestleMania XL.

The first story I believe will come to a close at Bad Blood will be the feud surrounding Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley. Liv officially completed her Revenge Tour after she defeated Ripley last night at SummerSlam, taking away ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio away from his ‘Mami’. What would make this an enticing matchup would be to see Ripley and Morgan face off for the Women’s World Championship in a Hell in the Cell match. This way, there wouldn’t be any outside interference from Mysterio trying to screw with the match. This story would certainly culminate at Bad Blood with Rhea going to defining lengths to have her Women’s World Championship once again.

I also believe we should see Damian Priest and Finn Balor face off whether that be in a normal match or a Hell in the Cell. This once friendship and brotherhood now rivalry will grow into an entertaining feud. ‘The Judgement Day’ is in complete shambles and the fallout from SummerSlam should set the stages for Bad Blood. Balor had his motives for screwing over his former friend and that may be to eventually challenge World Heavyweight Champion Gunther for the title. The WWE should do a fantastic job bringing this as a feud to care about and have people’s investment whether that’s at the live show or at home watching from the television.

One final match that would roar the crowd and bring WWE fans back to WrestleMania XL would be ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes against ‘The Final Boss’ The Rock. The day after WrestleMania both Rhodes and The Rock were in the ring talking for what seemed like forever. The Rock talked about how he had to step away for the time being but he will be back to challenge Rhodes for the title. Once The Rock is ready, we could see ‘The Final Boss’ challenge Cody for the Undisputed WWE Championship. If this is the possible main event for Bad Blood, the event would certainly be sold out. Rhodes may have his toughest challenge yet soon enough.
