Will a New AEW World Champion Be Crowned at AEW Worlds End 2024?

AEW

AEW Worlds End 2024 will be held on December 28th, and it will see Jon Moxley attempt to defend his AEW World Championship in a four-way match. His opponents in this main event match are ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, ‘Switchblade’ Jay White, and Orange Cassidy. All four of these men have been feuding with each other in the leadup to this feud, though they have mostly set their eyes on Moxley. Considering that he doesn’t have to get pinned, there could be a chance that Moxley walks out of Worlds End without his world title.

Jon Moxley won the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream 2024, defeating his former stablemate Bryan Danielson after turning on him. He has since sought to improve AEW, as he believes it is a soft environment and has been looking to save it. Multiple wrestlers have stepped up and tried to save AEW from Moxley and his newly formed DeathRiders, including Private Party, Daniel Garcia, and Darby Allin. However, those are not the only people involved, as AEW Worlds End 2024 will see Switchblade, Hangman, and OC also attempt to save the company.

Hangman Page, who is no longer with his longtime stable, The Elite, and Jay White have been feuding heavily with each other over the past months. However, they have somewhat put their differences aside as they realize they’ve found a bigger threat, which they will look to take out at AEW Worlds End 2024. Cassidy has been involved with the DeathRiders more than anyone in AEW except for Darby Allin, as those two have formed a small partnership as well. Allin got his chance at the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley at Full Gear 2024, though he was unable to win the title. It’s highly speculated that he will end up being the one to take Moxley’s championship when he gets another chance.

It’s not likely that AEW Worlds End 2024 will see a title change, and there are multiple reasons for that. The main reason is that Jon Moxley’s story of attempting to make AEW his company is not over, and he shouldn’t lose the world title until that story comes to a close. He has only held the title for two months as well, and given his storyline, this title reign will probably go on for at least a few more months. Considering that many fans believe that Darby will be taking the AEW World Championship off Moxley, it’s bold to assume that there will be a title change this Saturday. Although one of those three men could end up being the one to ultimately defeat Moxley, it seems certain that it won’t be at AEW Worlds End 2024.
