Will Cody Rhodes Join the Final Boss at Elimination Chamber?
Going into Elimination Chamber, The Rock announced that he would be there in Toronto on Saturday, March 1st. The Rock cut a promo this past episode of Friday Night SmackDown that he wanted Cody Rhodes’ soul. This left a lot of questions that Cody Rhodes might turn heel at Elimination Chamber, saying that he would join The Rock and that they’ll form a corporation group. However, there is also a belief that Cody Rhodes will not join The Rock as he has had a great run as the quarterback and one of the top babyfaces in WWE, so, potentially, this will lead The Rock to choose somebody from the Elimination Chamber match to join forces with The Rock and going into WrestleMania.
The Rock will try to take Cody Rhodes‘s title away from him and establish a heel champion in WWE. There’s the belief that John Cena will be The Rock's chosen heel champion. Also, another person that The Rock can choose at the Elimination Chamber is CM Punk. Or this can be a ruse eventually leading to a match between The Rock and Cody Rhodes and the winner of the Elimination Chamber match at WrestleMania 41. How will this affect the Elimination Chamber match going into the event? Will The Rock interfere in this match and potentially somebody will turn heel going into this match or will this lead to a match between Cody Rhodes versus the winner of the Elimination Chamber, and Cody Rhodes, turning heel and joining The Rock as a corporate champion?
If Cody Rhodes joins The Rock, how will he continue his dominance as a champion? Will he be successful in this heel run? Will he be a great heel? These are some interesting choices that the WWE can be making. However, if Cody Rhodes turns heel then a lot of people would be interested in the product of WWE as Cody Rhodes is a beloved hero, but seeing him as the bad guy would make things interesting as it would be an interesting road to WrestleMania because of Jey Uso babyface run has been great and he challenging Gunther for the world title at WrestleMania 41 has been a great choice for the WWE, as it could establish Main Event Jey Uso as one of the greatest babyface champions. If Cody Rhodes turns into the bad guy, it will shake things up for WWE it would be Cody's first run as a heel champ. As WWE Champion, it would be very interesting because he hasn’t been the bad guy since AEW, before that, he was a bad guy as a part of the Bullet Club in New Japan. Ever since returning to WWE, Cody has been pushed to be in the main event which has been great for WWE but now it will be more interesting to see him being a bad guy in WWE as he has played before with The Legacy and as Dashing Cody Rhodes in his first run with WWE.
