Will ‘The New Day’ Break Up?

WWE

Back in 2014, one of the WWE’s most iconic stable was formed; ‘The New Day’ consisting of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E. At Extreme Rules 2015, they won their first WWE Tag Team Championship and have gone on to hold several WWE records with the most reigns as SmackDown Tag Team Champions with seven. Also, the longest reigning RAW Tag Team Champions at 483 days. Since Big E broke his neck during a match in March 2022, ‘The New Day’ has become a standard tag team duo with just Kingston and Woods.

Over the past month or so, ‘The Final Testament’s’ leader Karrion Kross has tried to recruit Woods to his faction claiming that Kingston has held back Woods from achieving success as a singles competitor. These two factions have had a heated battle for weeks. ‘The New Day’ has brought in Odyssey Jones to help them during this feud. Kross referred to Jones on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW as the new Big E and that Kingston is trying to replace the memory of Big E being with ‘The New Day’ by adding Jones. Next week will see ‘The Final Testament’ take on this new version of ‘The New Day’ in a six-man tag team match. After weeks of trying to be recruited to ‘The Final Testament’ it’s most likely time we’ll see Woods turn on his longtime tag team partner in Kingston and his new ally Jones in a shocking way.

If Woods turns his back on ‘The New Day’ expect both Kingston and Jones to exact their revenge on ‘The Final Testament’. It would be interesting to see what the WWE does with this storyline. Will Kross and Woods eventually face off against Kingston and Jones, or would we see both Kingston and Jones challenge ‘The Final Testament’ during a singles bout? While we haven’t seen many of these superstars on any Premium Live Event since WrestleMania XL, it’s possible we could see this feud head into Bad Blood. By the way it’s looking, Bad Blood on October 5th will culminate most of the WWE’s storytelling for the year, finishing off many of the feuds that started off at the beginning of the year.
