Would The Giants Dare Pass Up on A Quarterback at the Third Pick?
There has been so much doubt for the New York Football Giants during last season and the off-season. They have been struggling for a while now and things may begin to start to teeter over for them once again. Is there a possibility that they may pass up on drafting a quarterback at the third spot in the 2025 NFL Draft? Jobs are on the line between both general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll. They need to make decisions now before they reach the draft at the end of April.
The Giants recently just signed Jameis Winston to their roster as the team's starting quarterback. However, the Giants are still in the hunt for another starting veteran quarterback. They have not stated whether they are going to move on from Russell Wilson or Joe Flacco. They wanted to wait on Aaron Rodgers, but it looks like he will be moving on elsewhere. They have been pretty quiet about this but some suggest that they may go for it.
The Giants look as if they decided to sign another veteran quarterback, they may not draft a new quarterback. They may skip out on drafting Cam Ward and Sheduer Sanders. This would be a huge mistake on their part. Only because of how well they have both played in their college careers. If the Giants do decide to draft one of these two, both Daboll and Schoen may have more time to turn the team around. It is felt that if they do skip out on drafting a quarterback they don’t see much value in the position.
The New York team has many decisions that they have to make during the offseason before draft weekend. Whatever Schoen decides to do, it has to make a big impact on the team. Both Ward and Sanders are on the line, and they need to figure out what they are going to do. They already have two quarterbacks in their QB locker room and by the end of the season, there may be a chance there may be four if Schoen decides to go this route. The franchise will have answers for everyone at the end of April.
