2022 Pro Bowl Running Back Signs to the Titans

This past season, Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard became the full-time starter as Ezekiel Elliot was released and eventually signed with the New England Patriots. Although Pollard rushed 1,000 yards for the second straight season, the Dallas Cowboys ultimately fell apart during the NFL playoffs, as they fell to the Green Bay Packers 48-32. Today, it was just announced the 2022 Pro Bowl running back has signed a three-year deal worth up to 24 million dollars by the Tennessee Titans. At 26 years old, Pollard has a chance to sign with another Super Bowl-caliber franchise, and perhaps rush his way to a championship.

Pollard attended college at the University of Memphis. He was redshirted his freshman season and played as a wide receiver during his sophomore season. It was when he became a junior that the 2022 Pro Bowl running back made the transition to a running back. Dallas selected Tony Pollard in the fourth round as the 128th overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft. Since being drafted, Tony has rushed over 3,500 yards in his career. The Titans will have a field day with Pollard out playing for them. 

Tony Pollard played in all 17 games with the Cowboys during the 2023 season. In 252 attempts he rushed 1,005 yards with six rushing touchdowns. The 2022 Pro Bowl running back also had 67 targets for 311 receiving yards. During his 2022 season, Pollard rushed 1,007 yards with nine rushing touchdowns, then he recorded 371 receiving yards with three touchdown catches. His best game of the season was early on against the Arizona Cardinals. During a 28-16 loss, Pollard ran the football 23 times which resulted in 122 rushing yards. There was about an eight-week stretch where Tony did not score a rushing touchdown. He’ll hope to change that all with the Titans in 2024.
