2023 Pro Bowl Guard Agrees to Deal with the Titans
Last season, 2023 Pro Bowl guard Kevin Zeitler signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions. Zeitler has been a reliable offensive lineman throughout his career and hopes he continues this heading into his 13th NFL season. Today, it was just announced that the former Lions guard signed a one-year, nine million deal with the Tennessee Titans. With this signing, Zeitler and the Titans hope to reach the goal of becoming Super Bowl champions.
Zeitler was the 27th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and was taken by the Cincinnati Bengals. After several seasons in Cincinnati, the 2023 Pro Bowl guard signed a five-year, $60 million deal with the Cleveland Browns, making him the highest-paid guard in the NFL at the time. Two seasons later, the Browns traded Zeitler to the New York Giants. He would spend two seasons in New York before being released by the team. However, the 35-year-old signed a three-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens. Once his contract with Baltimore expired, he then signed his one-year deal with the Lions, expecting to make it to the Super Bowl, however, Detroit was thrown for a loop when they were embarrassed by a gritty Washington Commanders team during the NFL Divisional Round.
The 2023 Pro Bowl guard is aiming for a Super Bowl Championship before his career is said and done. With the Titans, Zeitler hopes to reach this milestone after all the hard work he’s put in through 13 seasons. He has played 198 NFL regular season games, hoping to stay a reliable offensive lineman even at 35. It will be interesting to see what Zeitler can do going forward! Can he help the Titans compete for a championship, or will his career settle into the sunset?
