26-Year-Old Center Signs with the Titans
In nearly a decade, the Denver Broncos have not seen the playoffs. Denver’s last time in the NFL Playoffs was back in 2015 when they won Super Bowl 50. The past four seasons for 26-year-old center Llyod Cushenberry III have been embarked with lessons that will potentially help him on his NFL journey. Cushenberry III has spiked the ball to nine different quarterbacks during his time with the Broncos. Last season, the team went 8-9 and missed the playoffs once more, making Llyod a free agent. Today, it was reported he signed with the Tennessee Titans.
Lloyd Cushenberry played four total seasons with the University of Louisiana. In his redshirt sophomore season, he became the Tigers starting center. The future four-year pro center was named to the First-Team All-SEC and won a College National Championship in 2019 when the Tigers defeated the Clemson Tigers 42-25. He would forgo his final season and declare for the 2020 NFL Draft. The Denver Broncos would go on to select the 26-year-old center as the 83rd pick in the third round.
Denver had a bad offensive line in 2023. They allowed a total of 50 sacks on their quarterbacks Russell Wilson, and Jarrett Stidham, which ranked 27th in the NFL. However, they were ranked 19th in total touchdowns, so the O-line did a good job when trying to protect their guys when getting points on the board. Besides the 2022 season, the 26-year-old center has played in every game in three out of his four seasons.
