26-Year-Old Wide Receiver Signs to the Patriots

NFL

2023 was supposed to be the season for 26-year-old wide receiver K.J. Osborn to make a huge impression not only on the Minnesota Vikings but the entire National Football League. Osborn did not come close to reaching his potential, as the receiver had quite possibly the worst season of his career. However, as a free agent, K.J. has signed a deal with the New England Patriots. Hopefully, this allows Osborn to refresh his career and be a more impactful player on a game-to-game basis.

K.J. Osborn played three seasons at the University of Buffalo. During his time there, he had 96 catches for 1,490 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Osborn earned Second-Team All-MAC honors in 2018. The Minnesota Vikings would select the now 26-year-old wide receiver as the 176th overall pick during the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Last season, he played in 16 games for the Vikings. With 48 receptions, K.J. had 540 passing yards and three touchdown catches. The 26-year-old wide receiver’s best game of the season was on October 29th in a matchup against the Green Bay Packers. In a 24-10 win, Osborn had eight receptions for 99 yards. He hopes to become a dominant force with the Patriots in 2024.
